Go Karamazov is a wearable and wireless interface for sound and light.
The live audio is programmed in Pure Data and is adressing issues of electromagnetic
propagation. Light has been integrated into the design adding a visual element of
light and shadows.
Go Karamazovis is an interface for live interactive performance, a wearable controller
with sensors as inputs for gestural performance. The sonic output from the controller
is composed and processed in Pure Data.
Go Karamazov
Go Karamazov was first developed during an Artist in Residence at the Nordic Resort.
This 2 month residency was organised the Nordic Council of Ministers, Copenhagen, Denmark
December 2006 January 2007
The second prototype was developed as part of a commission for the New Composers Series,
organized by Diapason Sound Art Gallery, Electronic Music Foundation, White Box Gallery
in New York and had the premiere at the Performa 07 Biennale, with support from New York
State Music Fund and the Rockerfeller Foundation.
